Damian Dimmich is the founder of Tauri-Tec, a fast-growing software and web-design company composed of doctorate level programmers. He has many years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining IT systems for a wide range of clients, ranging from the UN in Vienna to a computer games startup. He spent time as a systems administrator for EZGov, where he supported clients such as the UK Inland Revenue. Damian holds a degree in Physics from King's College London and has passed his PhD in Parallel Programming at the University of Kent.
Edward co-manages Tauri-Tec with Damian focusing on Project Management and User Interface Design. Having worked as a contractor on challenging projects involving money transfers, Edward quickly became an indispensable asset to the business, providing invaluable insight into user interface design and application structure. BSc in Business and Computer Science, PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kent in Visualisation.
Keith, our most recent permanent addition to Tauri-Tec, is a passionate technology enthusiast and an avid amateur photographer. His experiences range from games development for mobile phones using J2ME to large scale administrative applications, which uses various technologies including: PHP, Java (J2ME & J2EE), Flex, C#, Plyons and ActionScript. Keith is constantly looking and evaluating new technologies to increase efficiency in both existing and new projects. Before joining Tauri-Tec, Keith worked in academia. This role involved designing and implementing computer based experiments and bespoke software solutions for staff and students at the University. BSc & PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kent in Applied and Interdisciplinary Informatics, focusing on visualization, haptics and sonification.
Gustavo is the latest addition fo the Tauri-tec team. In addition to his web development work, Gustavo is the graphic designer who creates most of Tauri-tec's art work. Notably he has been a key influence in bringing the Mediasmart Lessons and Jingobid projects to fruition. He has degrees in Art, Marketing, Anthropology and Philosophy, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Patrick Craston has been working as a contractor for Tauri-Tec since July 2008. His most recent project was the development of a competitive shopping/auction website site for the Hong Kong market. He has specialist knowledge in front-end engineering using state-of-the-art Javascript and CSS technologies such as jQuery and YUI. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in developing web applications using the Pylons web development and SQLAlchemy ORM frameworks. When not at his computer, Patrick is a passionate cyclist. During his PhD he developed neural network models of the human cognitive system in Matlab. BSc in Computing and Business Administration, PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kent in Cognitive Neuroscience. Patrick is bi-lingual in English and German.
When he's not toiling away on brain computer interfaces at the University of Cambridge, Srivas consults for Tauri-Tec on database development and software architecture. During his early days, he implemented rule-based network security algorithms in India, before working for Oracle Corp. on database querying and reporting. Since then, he's worked at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany on the development of EU-wide broadband network access. BEng from Bangalore, India, MSc from the Hamburg University of Technology, PhD in Computational Cognitive Science at the University of Kent.
Christian holds a PhD in High Performance Computing and Concurrency. He is an expert in Python and advises Tauri-tec on web application performance, optimisation and profiling as well as researching new technologies for use in house.
